Tractor Loader Hydraulic Cylinder

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders are usually mounted on the loader’s boom and bucket. When working, hydraulic oil pushes the piston rod to extend and retract. This moves the boom up and down and tilts the bucket, so the machine can scoop, lift and unload materials. They are widely used in farming and small construction projects.

We will choose cylinder parts based on the working conditions. For normal farm work, the piston rod uses 45# steel.  For high loads and frequent operation, we use 40Cr steel with hard chrome plating. The chrome layer is 20–50 μm thick, with a hardness of HV800–1000. It offers good wear resistance and impact resistance. In wet or corrosive environments, we use 304 or 316 stainless steel. It can resist moisture and corrosive media and keeps the cylinder working reliably. We can also choose materials based on the customer's equipment needs.

We use automatic girth welding. The weld has a tensile strength of ≥520 MPa. It does not crack easily under high-pressure impact and prevent hydraulic oil leaks.

Your Reliable Supplier of Tractor Loader Hydraulic Cylinder

We have rich experience making tractor loader hydraulic cylinders. We’ve made cylinders for many different tractor brands. We also offer loader hydraulic cylinders for different loader models. From past projects, we know standard drawings do not fit all machines. Different brands and models have different mounting dimensions, port positions and pin hole diameters. So before production, we ask customers for their tractor brand and model. We confirm the best mounting size and oil port position based on this information, then start production. This ensures the cylinder fits directly on the machine and avoids uneven wear and scratches.

We can also make custom hydraulic cylinders cylinders based on your drawings and equipment. We’ll provide technical review and selection support.

Tractor Loader Hydraulic Cylinder Types

Boom Lift Hydraulic Cylinder

Boom lift cylinders are one type of tractor loader hydraulic cylinder. They are usually mounted in pairs on both sides of the boom. They power the boom to lift and lower, moving the bucket up and down together. Because these cylinders need to carry the weight of materials during operation, they face heavy loads and strong impact forces. For this reason, they are built larger than bucket tilt cylinders.

Bucket Tilt Hydraulic Cylinder

Bucket tilt cylinders are also one type of tractor loader hydraulic cylinder. They're mounted at the front of the boom, drive the bucket to rotate for digging and dumping materials. They don't carry much weight, but they move back and forth a lot and have to take the sudden impact of digging. So the seals need good impact resistance. Compared with boom lift cylinders, they are smaller. They only control the bucket angle and do not lift the load.

Tractor Loader Hydraulic Cylinder Features

Welded Construction

Tractor loaders work in dusty, muddy conditions. They also face bumps, vibration, and overload forces. Regular bolts ‘s cylinder have many gaps, so they will loosen or crack easily.  For this reason, loader hydraulic cylinders mostly use a welded design. The cylinder bottom, lugs and barrel are welded together as one piece, then stress-relieved. This one-piece structure is stronger, handles vibration better, and keeps the machine running steadily.

Honed Seamless Tube

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders have to extend and retract often and handle high pressure and heavy loads. Ordinary seamed cylinder tubes can crack and leak under these tough conditions. So tractor loader hydraulic cylinders mostly use honed seamless cylinder tubes.  These tubes are usually made of 45# seamless steel pipe. The inner wall is ground smooth to reduce seal wear. They don't deform easily under high pressure and can handle the impact loads of farm work.

Heavy Duty Seal Assembly

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders are mostly fitted with heavy-duty seal kits. Using multi-layer sealing for protection. The inner main seal handles high pressure and keeps oil from leaking inside. The middle buffer seal can reduce sudden pressure spikes and protects the seals from being damaged. The outer wiper blocks mud, rain, straw, and other debris so they don't get inside the cylinder. This way, even in fields with lots of mud and straw, the cylinder can keep running reliably.

Boom Lift and Lowering

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders are used for synchronized lifting and lowering of the main boom. Cylinder is hinged between the frame and main boom. Hydraulic oil flows in and out to extend and retract the piston rod, lifting and lowering the main boom. The left and right cylinders run in sync to achieve synchronized movement of the main boom. Cylinder through sync valve control the stroke and make the boom lift more stable.

Bucket tilt

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders are used for bucket tilting. One end of the cylinder connects to the bucket through a linkage. When the piston rod extends, the linkage pushes the bucket to rotate around the pivot point. This tilts the bucket to scoop materials. A buffer valve is built inside the cylinder. It absorbs the impact pressure when the bucket hits rocks and protects the cylinder seals.

Square Bale Clamp Moving

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders work for grabbing and moving square hay bales. High-pressure oil flows into the rod chamber and pushes the piston rod out. This closes the grapple jaws to clamp the bale. Then the lift and tilt cylinders raise and rotate the grapple to finish handling. The cylinder has dust wiper. It keeps dust out and prevents cylinder damage.

Highly Corrosive Silage Pushing And Loading

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders are used for pushing and loading highly corrosive silage. High-pressure oil pushes the piston rod out and moves the push plate forward. When the rod retracts, the push plate moves back. This completes the piling and moving of silage. The cylinder uses a stainless steel piston rod, so it can resist corrosion from lactic acid and salt.

Snow Plow and Blade Angle Adjusting

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders are used to adjust the angle of snow blades. High-pressure oil flows into the rod chamber and extends the piston rod. This turns the snow blade left or right to clear snow. The seals are made of low-temperature polyurethane (PU). They stay flexible even at tens of degrees below zero, which prevents leaks and keeps the blade angling smooth.

Heavy-Duty Freight Pallet Fork Lifting And Lowering

Tractor loader hydraulic cylinders are used to lift heavy-duty pallet forks. High-pressure oil pushes the piston rod out, and the chain lifts the forks. The forks lower by the weight of the load. These cylinders are small but produce strong thrust. They fit easily in tight spaces and can lift heavy loads smoothly.

Weld Failure Under Impact Load

Some machines need two tractor loader lift cylinders working in parallel to deliver force together. But sometimes one cylinder moves earlier than the other. This happens because the load on each side is different. The oil flows to the lighter side first, so the cylinder extends sooner while the heavily loaded behind. The lifting will be out of sync and twist the boom structure.

To solve this, we fit position sensors on the left and right cylinders. The sensors track the position of both cylinders in real time and send data back to the controller. If the controller sees a difference over the set limit, it automatically sends more oil to the slower side, to allow the slower side to catch up with the faster side. This keeps both cylinders lifting in sync and stops the boom from twisting. Tractor hydraulic cylinders on tractor hitches and trailer tippers will face the same sync problem, and this method works for them too.

Asynchronous Lifting of Parallel Dual Cylinders Causes Boom Distortion
